Atos signs US$150mn digital transformation contract with National Grid

Atos to deliver Digital Managed Workplace Services along with full support infrastructure for National Grid's US and UK operations

Leading digital transformation solutions provider Atos has signed a multi-year US$150mn contract with British multinational electricity and gas utility firm National Grid to produce Digital Managed Workplace Services (DWMS) across its UK and Northeastern US operations.

Atos’s cutting-edge DWMS and analytics capabilities will provide digital empowerment to National Grid employees from the back to front ends of their operations.

This will be reinforced with a fully-equipped support network, including device management, printing services, a global enterprise service desk and a ‘Proactive Experience Centre’ focusing on improving the employee experience through AI and automation.

“We very much look forward to working with National Grid to achieve a step-change in employee, and ultimately, end user experience through a true partnership with Atos,” said Adrian Gregory, Atos’s Global Senior Executive Vice President and CEO of UK & Ireland, in the firm’s press release.
“The comprehensive plan of improvements underpinned by innovative technologies will have a positive impact right across the organization, enabling National Grid to work smartly and more efficiently.”

Adriana Karaboutis, Group Chief Information and Digital Officer at National Grid, added:

“We chose Atos primarily because they shared our vision for digital end-user excellence. Atos has an excellent reputation with other leading UK and US companies and I am excited about our partnership and the transformation ahead.”
