“With Kogentix’s assets and highly skilled team of big data and AI professionals, we are even better positioned to help clients realize the value of open source analytics platforms and embed new intelligence at the core of their businesses,” said Narenda Mulani, Chief Analytics Officer, Accenture Applied Intelligence.

The move will bolster Accenture's position within the market that has grown significantly in recent times as more and more firms look to harness and embrace new technologies in order to promote growth and reduce costs.

“Open source big data platforms and artificial intelligence are offering companies more opportunities than ever to become data-driven, intelligent enterprises. But marrying these new technologies with their old analytics world is becoming a key challenge for them,” Mulani continued.

Kogentix's team of 220 big data, machine learning and software professionals will join Accenture's Applied Intelligence division that currently employs more than 6,000 technology experts.
