In the aim of placing greater importance on cybersecurity, Intel has announced that it has appointed Window Snyder as its first Chief Software Security Officer (CSSO).
Snyder joins from US cloud computing services provider Fastly where she stood as the firm’s Chief Security Officer (CSO), having also previously held key security positions at the likes of Apple and Mozilla.
“I am looking forward to Window leveraging her experience in the community and bringing further valuable industry insight into Intel’s hardware-enabled security solutions,” said Doug Fisher, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Software and Services Group, Intel.
Having been named the company’s first CSSO, Intel has also announced that Snyder will simultaneously act as Vice President and General Manager of the Intel Platform Security Division.
In her new position, Snyder will be responsible for overseeing the company’s security product roadmap across all areas of the business.
This will include driving external partnerships and internal synergies, and staying on top of industry trends and technologies to ensure the firm’s roadmap continues in the right direction.
