Apple has reportedly bought Tueo Health, a California startup that is working on asthma-monitoring technology for sleeping children.

The app would be able to them send alerts if a child’s breathing changed at night.

The deal aims to bolster Apple’s intellectual property in the healthcare space.

The tech giant has made a strong push into the health field in recent years.

For instance, Apple recently added an electrocardiogram (ECG) to the latest Apple Watch which allows users to monitor their heart rhythm and look for irregularities.

A few years ago, Apple also acquired Gliimpse, a startup which is developing technology to aggregate medical records, and Beddit, a company that makes sleep sensors.
